Knights Chess Academy teaches chess to children and adults in Rawalpindi, at our tables in the Shahbaz Sharif Sports Complex and online. A few times a year we clear the room for an open rapid tournament, and anyone can enter.

Membership is open. Members get Rs 500 off tournament entry. Call to ask what else it includes.
Come in after work or school and play whoever is there. Slow games, blitz, it’s up to the board.

The Knights Opens are rapid tournaments run on the Swiss system. You don’t need a rating or a membership. Nobody gets knocked out: you play every round, and each round you face someone on the same score as you.

The entry fee is non-refundable. Slots are limited, so register before the last date.
“10 + 5” means ten minutes each for the whole game, plus five seconds added every time you move. Tap your side after you move.

No. Foundations starts at how the pieces move. Most children pick up the rules in the first few classes; the rest is practice.
No. Adults take classes too, whether they’re starting from nothing or coming back to the game after years away.
No. The opens are open category: anyone can enter, from first-timers to regular tournament players. The Swiss system pairs you with people on your score, so you won’t spend the day being flattened.
